We recently left our all time favorite plug-in nightlight behind - lost somewhere between Barcelona and Bordeaux. It was perfect- just bright enough to light a windowless bathroom at night, super tiny, no need for batteries, and it weighed next to nothing. It only cost us $10, but it’s only available through Amazon US and we won’t be back there until next year. That sent us on a hunt for a good replacement. We actually ended up finding something even better - a rechargeable silicon cased bicycle light from a Dutch company. Moral of the story, sometimes it’s ok to let go of a “can’t live without” item in nomadic life - it opens up the world to new possibilities we might not otherwise have considered, let alone looked for. Of course, that’s nothing compared to a book in the making stored on a Kindle!
