Sadly, no. With this nomad life, there's not a way for me to distribute as effectively as Amazon. I am actively trying to come up with an alternative. I will be distributing my fiction via Substack.
I spent nine months travelling up the Andes and got about fourteen thousand photographs on the way.
But my purpose was to find out which country I would like to settle down in.
Ecuador and Colombia almost tied, but Ecuador has USD and to work out the price of my lunch in Colombia I have to divide by a ridiculous number of thousands that vary every day.
I'm lazy, so I chose Ecuador where I don't have to do any mental arithmetic as I shop.
Now, however, I am missing travel.
So, I'm in the process of setting up with HouseSitters.
I hope to get great reviews from Ecuador and Colombia.
Then the first time I see the chance to housesit a large dog in Scotland for several months I'll grab it. However much I might like to travel, two days travel to house sit for two weeks is just not on!
I have been unable to commit to a month in one place…two weeks seems long. Especially if I have not been there before…you just don’t know until you get there if it is a place that you want to be for that long. Do you check it out in person before you commit?
Not usually. The only place we "try before buy" was in Poros, Greece. We feel like we're pretty good at picking places, but sometimes, they are just awful. Vina del Mar, Chile was one of them.
We are living in Portugal. Still rent an apartment in the Boston area, legal residence and financial help for daughter (She has a sweet deal; we pay 2/3 rent and she only has room- mates a few months a year. But her investments are great! Basically, she is getting her inheritance early).
We travel when we can and at one point we thought we'd be fully nomadic, but here we are as Portuguese residents.

I'm a non-traveller at present.

I have never been to a place to which I couldn't adapt.
The four places where I went house-sitting twenty years ago were very different from each other.
That's what made it interesting.
I'm getting tired of being in one place for six years now.
Right now, the thought of staying in one place that long sounds overwhelming, but I'm sure it'll sound wonderful in the future.

Sounds like a fun new way to get around :-)

This is fascinating. Sorry I missed adding to the responses - but you know who we are already ;).
